Hobgoblin Akasaka

written by EnAble Japan October 20, 2014

The Hobgoblin bar franchise has more than 30 pubs in Britain. Their first venture into the Japanese market is the Akasaka branch. Though the bar is located underground it is easy to locate because the bar’s signpost, featuring a hobgoblin wearing bright red clothes, is easily visible from the street. The bar is spacious and so is ideal for any number of private functions from birthday celebrations to office get-togethers.

The bar offers an extensive and recently improved menu of British style food and there are over ten varieties of draft beer to enjoy including ‘Hobgoblin’ and ‘Black Witch’. For those who require stimulation beyond food and drink there is a pool table, dart board and 2 giant plasma screen TVs for watching sports.

Many of the customers are foreign businessmen and Friday nights can be very crowded because the bar is located in the business district. Very often the best conversation is to be had by sitting at the bar and chatting to whoever comes along.
